TRINITY
TIBETAN SPANIELS

OUR STORY
After 20 years of successfully showing and breeding Dalmatians, I went to a dog show and fell in love with these little dogs. I went from Trinity Dalmatians to Trinity Dalmatians & Tibetan Spaniels to now (18 years later) just Trinity Tibetan Spaniels. Located in Central Point. a small town in beautiful Southern Oregon, I am a hobby breeder not a kennel. Our dogs and puppies live in, and are raised in, our home with my family. Our dogs have all their health testing done and have achieved a minimum of their AKC Championship certification in the show ring before producing the next generation of puppies. I enjoy the competition of showing dogs, but I also take great pride in proving the conformation and temperament quality of my dogs, this is the main reason for dog shows. I believe in educating our new owners and providing them with everything they need to ensure their new companion gets the love, care, and attention they deserve for the entirety of their lifetime.

The Tibetan Spaniel has been known for over 2000 years, bred and owned by Buddhist monks and lamas. The Tibbie was never sold, they left the monasteries of Tibet only as treasured gifts to friends. The Tibetan Spaniel Club of America was formed in 1971 and The American Kennel Club recognized them in 1984 where they joined the Non-Sporting group in competition. This is a very intelligent breed which thrives on human companionship and are very devoted to their family, yet they can be aloof with strangers. They have minimal health issues and are easy to groom. These dogs are not guard dogs, but they are bred to alert when there is an unusual event happening. They do not typically bark unnecessarily. They are often referred to as a large dog in a small body, which is nice since they love to cuddle! The standard weight ranges from 9-15 lbs and about 10 inches in height. Lifespan is typically 15-18 years. I've know several that have lived to 20 years!
